Ashley Graham's Miss Universe 2017 Dresses Are As Glamorous As She Is
As soon as I saw she'd be co-hosting the Miss Universe pageant with Steve Harvey, I've been excited to see what Ashley Graham's Miss Universe dresses would look like. Graham is known for her body positivity and totally embraces her curvy shape, and she's one of my favorite people to see on the red carpet. She consistently pulls off super glam looks with ease, and I knew the 2017 Miss Universe pageant would be no exception.
As soon as pictures started rolling in from the Miss Universe red carpet, I knew Graham would be totally bringing it with her outfit choices. Her red carpet look was super glam. She wore a a black and gold column dress that was completely sheer, and you could see her black bodysuit underneath the glam gold beading. There's nothing more classic that the combo of black and gold, and I love that Graham went with a relatively unexpected choice for her red carpet look. The black belt and strappy sandals complete the look, as does Graham's sleek blowout and simple dangly earrings.
She of course took to Instagram to share her first look of the night, and I can only hope that Graham continues to share the rest of her looks during her hosting gig.
Next she changed into a sparkly black spaghetti strap dress for more behind-the-scenes interviews and interactions with her co-host Steve Harvey. Loving this one as well.
Miss Canada makes it to Top 13, meets model Ashley Graham
Miss Canada Siera Bearchell cleared the first round of eliminations and waiting for her backstage was fellow body positive advocate Ashley Graham.
Upon meeting, the two hit it off immediately and talked about the importance of representing different shapes and sizes (that are all healthy and normal) in stages like the Miss Universe.
Bearchell garnered online support with each post she made about embracing one's self. Bearchell, a law student, says she's happy about who she is and she's determined to bring self-love to the Miss Universe pageant.
