Fifth Harmony announced Cabello’s departure in December, saying she told them she was quitting through her manager.

Cabello called 5H's statement "simply not true" in a tweeted statement. "I was shocked to read the statement the Fifth Harmony account posted without my knowing," she wrote. "The girls were aware of my feelings through the long, much needed conversations about the future that we had during (the) tour."

In addition to performing and rehearsing as a group, the 5H ladies have also been releasing solo music of late. Kordei shared her recent Solange mashup with USA TODAY, teasing her "prosperous" year ahead, "not only regarding Fifth Harmony and this new chapter together but also my own personal endeavors in and outside of music."

Fifth Harmony Make Debut as a Quartet on People's Choice Awards Stage

Ally Brooke, Normani Kordei, Lauren Jauregui, and Dinah Jane of Fifth Harmony accept Favorite Group onstage during the People's Choice Awards 2017 at Microsoft Theater on Jan. 18, 2017 in Los Angeles.
Fifth Harmony made their debut as a foursome at Wednesday night's (Jan. 18) People's Choice Awards with a fiery performance of their biggest hit to date, "Work From Home."

The ladies immediately showed their unity by singing the first line of the song -- originally sung by recently departed member Camila Cabello -- all together as one. But they also showed off their individuality during the number with each girl's name displayed on the big screen as she sang her first solo portion.

Immediately following their performance, Epic Records labelmate DJ Khaled presented Fifth Harmony with the favorite group award -- their second year in a row taking home the prize.

The 5H ladies have been in the headlines over the past month since the Dec. 19 departure of Camila Cabello, which was announced with a series of conflicting she-said-they-said statements and tweets. While the group performed on Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve With Ryan Seacrest after Cabello's exit, their set was pre-taped before the split.

Meanwhile, the four remaining Fifth Harmony ladies -- Ally Brooke, Normani Kordei, Dinah Jane and Lauren Jauregui -- re-signed with Epic Records and Syco, who exercised their right to a third album from the now-quartet at the start of the new year.
