Justin Bieber Says The Weeknd's Music Is 'Whack' Following Selena Gomez Romance Rumors
Is it too late now to say "Sorry?"
Less than two weeks after The Weeknd was caught kissing Justin Bieber's on-again, off-again girlfriend, Selena Gomez, the 22-year-old singer made it quite clear he's not a fan of his famous ex's new beau -- or his music!
Bieber was spotted leaving Delilah, a celebrity hotspot in West Hollywood, California, on Friday, when TMZ reporters asked him, "Can you listen to a Weeknd song?"
"Hell nah," he responded. "That s**t's whack!"
Regardless of Bieber's opinion, Gomez, 24, seems to be a big fan of The Weeknd's voice. Earlier this week, the brunette beauty was photographed listening to his latest album, Starboy, while out and about in Los Angeles.
Bieber isn't the only one who is seemingly bothered by Gomez and The Weeknd's chemistry, however. The "Party Monster" singer's ex, Bella Hadid, is reportedly "pissed" he moved on with Gomez so quickly. The 20-year-old model dated The Weeknd, 26, for nearly a year and a half before they called it quits last November.
CANADIANS AT WAR! Justin Bieber slams The Weeknd’s music as ‘wack’ after he’s spotted in close embrace with his ex Selena Gomez
JUSTIN Bieber has made his feelings about music rival The Weeknd crystal clear – and he’s not mincing his words.
The 22-year-old Canadian Crown Prince of pop seemingly does not approve of fellow Canadian singer The Weeknd’s music.
The Weeknd – real name Abel Tesfaye – was caught kissing Justin’s ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez earlier this month.
The new romance could be the reason behind the Biebs now not holding back on his views.
Emerging from high-end restaurant Delilah in West Hollywood on Friday night, the Company singer was approached by a video team working for TMZ.
Skipping away from the reporters, Bieber gave the first sign that he wasn’t the biggest fan of The Weeknd (or no longer Selena) as he commented: “You’re like one of those rap guy’s girlfriends or something.”
The reporters then asked if he enjoyed listening to The Weeknd’s music, to which he barked: “Hell no I can’t listen to a Weeknd song! That sh*t’s whack.”
Justin – who had a headline grabbing on-off relationship with Selena, 24, between 2011 and 2014 – has previously slammed his ex’s relationship with The Weeknd, 26.
Earlier in the week, TMZ alleged Justin thinks Selena is using her new romance in a bid to boost her music sales.
Justin has, at least, turned to his fans for affection.
He posted a rare selfie to Twitter on Monday with the caption: “My I love you face.”
The Sorry singer had previously punished fans by deleting his own Instagram account after trolls targeted his on-of lover Sofia Richie – leaving loyal Beliebers to cling to his Tweets for direct updates from the star.
