Child abducted by father found safe after Amber Alert, mother dead

FULTON COUNTY, Ohio -- The father of a child who was the subject of an Amber Alert Tuesday is in custody after the child's mother was found dead.

The child, 10-month-old Winston Ramey, was found unharmed, according to reports from Fox 8.

WTOL in Toledo reported that Mandi Mangas, the child's mother, was found shot to death inside her father's home in Delta.

WANE in Fort Wayne, Indiana reported that James Ramey was taken into custody by Indiana State Police in Fulton County, Indiana.

The child had been last seen in Delta. The father was considered armed and dangerous.

AMBER Alert: Missing teen believed to be with armed 50-year-old man

MAURY COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) – An Endangered Child Alert was issued Tuesday afternoon for a 15-year-old girl missing out of Maury County–and it was quickly upgraded to a statewide AMBER Alert.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is searching for Mary Catherine Elizabeth Thomas.

Elizabeth is 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighs 120 pounds. She has blonde hair and hazel eyes. She was wearing a flannel shirt and black leggings.

It’s believed she is in the company of Tad Cummins, 50, who is believed to be armed with two handguns.

Sheriff Bucky Rowland confirmed to News he used to be a teacher at Maury County Schools, and spokeswoman for the district said he was suspended last month from Culleoka Unit School. An investigation is ongoing into that case.

Cummins is driving a Silver Nissan Rogue with TN license plate 976ZPT. He is a white male who is 6 feet tall and weighs 200 pounds, brown hair and eyes.

The TBI says they may have been in the area of Decatur, Alabama.

Amber Alert issued for Tennessee teen believed to be with 50-year-old man

Elizabeth Thomas was reported missing from Maury County. She was last seen wearing a flannel shirt and black leggings.

The TBI believes she is with Tad Cummins, 50, and could be near Decatur, Alabama.

Cummins is armed with two guns and is driving a silver Nissan Rogue with Tennessee tag 976ZPT, according to the TBI.
