Eight Young Controversial Models
Controversial Young Models
1. Is This 8-Year-Old the World's Youngest Supermodel?
2. Remember the ‘prettiest girl in the world’? This is what she looks like now
SHE was dubbed the prettiest girl in the world when she burst on to the modelling scene aged just ten.
Thylane Lena-Rose Blondeau was featured in French Vogue before even hit her teens after having been spotted at a Jean Paul Gaultier show.
The daughter of French footballer Patrick Blondeau and TV presenter Veronika Loubry, Thylane began modelling at the age of five.
And even then she was tipped to be fashion's next big thing and drew comparisons to Brigitte Bardot, who appeared in Elle magazine aged 15.
But it was Thylane's shoot for a beauty section in Vogue in 2011 that saw her hit the headlines when she became one of the youngest models to ever feature in the magazine.
Aged 13, she landed her very first cover shoot, when she was put on the front of French magazine Jalouse, who dubbed her the 'new Kate Moss'.
And now at the age of 15, Thylane is represented by IMG models, the same agency that represents sisters Gigi and Bella Hadid as well as Cindy Crawford's daughter Kaia Gerber.
She has also landed work with beauty company L'Oreal and was spotted watching fashion shows during Milan Fashion Week last year.
Thylane is also active on Instagram with more than 900,000 followers.

3. 13-Year-Old Japanese Girl Sparks Debate about Age in the Modelling Industry
Momoka Kurita made quite an impression when she posed as a “race queen” during a superbike racing event in Japan, last year. Adult men showered her with compliments for her stunning looks, but little did they know that she was just 12-years-old at the time, and still in elementary school.
Her appearance at the 2016 48th MFJ Grand Prix, in Suzuka, kickstarted Momoka’s modelling career, but it also sparked a heated online debated about age in the industry. While recognizing her stunning looks, many argued that dressing a 12-year-old child in a sexy attire and having her participate in an adult event was just wrong. Most of them blamed the parents, but the now 13-year-old girl claims that nobody forced her into it, and that her parents are just supportive of her dreams.
Following the success of her first important experience as a model, Momoka has already been contacted by a number of major brands, and is currently juggling her studies, modelling gigs, ballet lessons, while somehow finding time for piano, guitar and gymnastics. She’s got a lot on her plate, that’s for sure, which has prompted some internet commenters to say that Kurita is being robbed of her childhood.
“Don’t you dare steal her childhood,” one person wrote on social media.
“She’s cute, but dressing up an elementary student as a race queen is just wrong,” another said.
“What’s so interesting about dressing up a child as an adult? Stop it already.”
SoraNews24 reports that Momoka is also auditioning for Tokyo Girls Audition (TGA), a big yearly event aimed at discovering young models and performers.
Momoka Kurita is not the first girl to spark a debate about age in the modelling industry. Three years ago, we wrote about then 9-year-old Kristina Pimenova, dubbed the “world’s most beautiful girl”, who already had an impressive portfolio of clients like Vogue, Armani and Dolce & Gabbana.
4. 14-year-old becomes fashion week's youngest ever model
Most teenagers her age are preoccupied with the latest pop stars or movie heartthrobs.
But schoolgirl Aleksandra Vasic has her sights on a bigger goal. Despite her tender 14 years, she has become the youngest model ever to appear in London Fashion Week after being snapped up by iconic fashion designer Zandra Rhodes.
The 65-year-old eccentric designer added Aleksandra to her books at the age of 13, just weeks before launching her first British show in more than 20 years.
Aleksandra was taking to the catwalk on Wednesday in a range of adult clothes fashioned by Miss Rhodes, who described her as "the face of the future."
Her booking comes as the modelling world faces increasing controversy over the vulnerability of young girls recruited into an industry where they are encouraged to stay thin.
Earlier this month organisers of an annual Madrid style event announced any models with a body mass index less than 18 would be banned.
London Fashion Week has so far failed to follow in their footsteps - but Aleksandra insisted she had her feet firmly on the ground.
The teenager, who cites her hobbies as playing volleyball and basketball and listening to rock music, said: "I enjoy my food and had a slice of cake to prove it when I turned 14 this week.
"This is a dream come true for me. I'm really excited to be taking part in a show by such a great designer. I started modelling and catwalk training at the age of 10 and always knew I wanted to be a model.
"It has taken a lot of practice to get to this stage but I am not nervous. I know a lot of models are older than me but I am capable of handling the pressure."
Her mother Alma Vasic, 50, who runs a hotel business, added: "I am not worried about her as she is very grounded. My daughter is normal and healthy. She doesn't worry about her weight and knows to stay away from drugs.
"I have always taught her to have strong principles and morals and I know she can handle being in the limelight."
Aleksandra, whose mother is Mexican and whose late father Gojko was from former Yugoslavia, has dreamed of being a model since she was 10.
Her ambitious mother hired a catwalk coach to train her and accompanies her to all her bookings and photo shoots.
Mrs Vasic said she knew her daughter - who is 5'7" tall and weighs just over eight stone - was destined to be a model when she was carrying her.
She and her husband, who died of a heart attack 13 years ago at the age of 49, tried for seven years to have a baby without any joy.
She finally became pregnant with Aleksandra after fertility treatment.
Mrs Vasic, who lives with her daughter in San Diego, California, said: "When I was pregnant a doctor who was taking a scan said she had very long legs and joked that she would be a basketball player. I replied: 'No, she's going to be a model.'"
Aleksandra was first put in touch with Miss Rhodes when an organiser of a modelling competition in her home town - where the designer has a home - put her name forward.
On Wednesday she will be one of just 13 chosen models to take to the catwalk for the show.
Miss Rhodes said: "She came to see me with her mother and I thought she looked fabulous. She is very unspoilt and has a purity about her that is fantastic. She was 13 at the time but I don't think her age is a drawback.
"In this industry it can be an asset. She could be the next Twiggy or Kate Moss."
5. Young cover girl sparks 'over-sexualisation' controversy
The cover of Haven shows a nine-year-old model dressed in a two-piece vintage circus costume, hair teased, holding a light globe.
Concerns have been raised that the cover is too sexy and should not feature a young girl.
Haven is owned and run by ABC Gold Coast regular guest Keely O'Connor, who says that was not the intention.
"It was meant to be whimsical and creative and arty," she said.
Ms O'Connor says reaction has been mixed, with people coming out in support of the image and against it.
She says she is proud of the picture and that it did not raise red flags for any of the team of eight staff who put the circus-themed issue together.
"It's very disappointing to me that people have taken it this way, in no way did I ever think it would be perceived as sexual," she said.
Listeners have taken to social media to have their say:
Babs: "Not good at all for a girl her age. For goodness sake, let her have a childhood before you do this to her"
Laurel: "I think she should have been smiling and doing a running split in the air, more circusy and less Vogue"
Teaki: "What the hell is wrong with that?? The only problem I see is looking at a 9 year old through a developed adult's eyes in a sexual context, THAT'S creepy!"
The girl in the image has been a model for several years and her family has shielded her from the negative backlash.
"As far as she is concerned she's been a lucky little girl that got to be on the cover of a magazine," Ms O'Connor said.
6. Who is Lottie Moss? Kate Moss’ younger sister and ex-girlfriend of Made In Chelsea’s Alex Mytton
LOTTIE Moss, or Charlotte as she was christened, is the younger sister of supermodel and style icon Kate Moss.
Only just entering her late teens she is already accustomed to life in the public eye and has been modelling professionally for the past few years.
Who is Lottie Moss?
Charlotte Moss was born on January 9, 1998 so she's 19-years-old.
Born to parents Peter Edward Moss and Inger Solnordal, she is Kate Moss' half-sister since Kate is the offspring of Peter and his first wife Linda.
She lives with her parents in Haywards Heath, West Sussex, where they own a 17th-century Toll House shop in Lindfield, selling vintage clothes, jewellery, homeware and food.
It is touted as 'possibly the smallest department store in Sussex'.
Based in the UK, Lottie has followed in her older sister's footsteps by becoming a regular on the party circuit in the capital and her sense of fashion is, of course, impeccable.
With a 24-year age gap between her and her superstar sis, Lottie has a priceless source of guidance as she grows in stature and continues the Moss legacy.
What does Lottie Moss do?
Though she's only 19 Lottie has been modelling since she was in her early teens, initially for her parents' Toll House store.
At the age of 13 she took part in a test shoot for the agency which first launched Kate's career, Storm Management, organised by her parents and Sarah Doukas - the woman who famously discovered Kate at JFK airport when she was on the way home from a family holiday in Bahamas back in 1988.
Her first official shoot was published in Teen Vogue, where she wore a chic red and white striped sweater with a red jacket, followed by her first full editorial in Dazed & Confused not long afterwards.
Lottie's first campaign was for Calvin Klein no less, a black and white pictorial for a special exclusive line of nine items for MyTheresa.com.
Just a year later she made her catwalk debut at Paris Fashion Week, appearing in the Sonia Rykiel autumn/winter 2015 show, where she marched confidently down the runway in a printed velvet dress, black booties and a petite gunmetal handbag.
She credits her old sister for inspiring her move into the world of fashion, she told Teen Vogue in 2014: "Well, it kind of runs in the family. Kate was a massive part of why I started."
How tall is Lottie?
At just 5ft 5in Lottie is on the short side for a model and has acknowledged this herself, originally believing she was too short to appear on the catwalk.
Her sister Kate is two inches taller, measuring 5ft 7in.
Lottie's other vital stats are: Bust: 32in; Bust size: C; Hips: 36in; Waist: 24in and Shoe Size: 5.5.
Is Lottie at school?
The model's parents were determined to keep Lottie in education, even when her career in front of the camera began to kick off.
Though, speaking about her test shoot in 2011, father Peter Moss spoke about the economic difficulties facing young people today and how modelling could be a good backup for her. He said: "Well, you have to take advantage of any opportunities that come along haven’t you? If things work out for Lottie and she eventually gets some work it could help her in her future.
7. Who is Kaia Gerber? Everything you need to know about Cindy Crawford’s 15-year-old daughter as she becomes the face of Marc Jacobs
SUPERMODEL Cindy Crawford’s enviably photogenic daughter looks set to be every bit as successful as her famous mum, having just signed as the face of Marc Jacobs Beauty.
But what is there to know about 15-year-old Kaia Gerber, beyond her having a model mum?
We reveal everything you need to know about the teenager who’s set to become a household name.
Kaia started modelling when she was just 10 years old.
She signed to IMG Models at the age of 13, three years ahead of mum Cindy, who was 16.
Kaia’s first big gig was with designer powerhouse Versace, modelling for their kids’ clothing range.
On hiring the teen, Donatella Versace said: “Like her mother, Kaia has a very special gift. The camera really, really loves her.
“It was such a special treat watching Kaia walk in her mother’s footsteps.”
Kaia is the spitting image of her 50-year-old famous mum, and her career has really taken off in the last year.
The school kid, who only turned 15 a week ago, has also been named as the face of Miu Miu sunglasses and Alexander Wang.
Kaia has modelled at New York Fashion Week and graced the pages of Vogue, Teen Vogue and Pop Magazine.
8. Eva Ionesco (She was 11 when she was featured in Playboy)
Eva Ionesco (born July 18, 1965) is a French actress and model and is the daughter of Romanian-French photographer Irina Ionesco. Ionesco's erotic photographs of Eva have been a source of controversy since they first appeared in the 1970s. Eva also modeled for other photographers, such as Jacques Bourboulon.
She is the youngest model ever to appear in a Playboy nude pictorial and was featured at age 11 in the October 1976 issue of the Italian edition of the magazine in a set by Bourboulon. Another of her nude pictorials, in the November 1978 issue of the Spanish edition of Penthouse, was a selection of her mother's photographs. She made also the cover page of Der Spiegel.
In 2012 Eva sued her mother for taking pornographic photos of her as a child. Although much of her claim was denied, she did receive some compensation.
1. Is This 8-Year-Old the World's Youngest Supermodel?

It's always jarring to realize how young some of today's biggest models are—Cara Delevingne and Kate Upton, both born in 1992, are younger than my little sister! Now, news of who's being billed as the world's youngest supermodel will basically make you feel like you're the most ancient thing around. Kristina Pimenova is the Russian beauty being hailed as such, and she's just turning nine at the end of this month.
The title "most beautiful girl in the world" came from Women Daily Magazine, and it's stuck ever since. According to her organized Facebook page, Kristina's been modeling since she was three, likes gymnastics and traveling, and her page has over 2 million likes (!). Her CV is nothing to sneeze at either: She's modeled the children's lines from Fendi and Roberto Cavalli and landed pages in Vogue Bambini. FYI, per the Daily News, Kristina wears only children's clothing and rarely rocks makeup, something that only makes her appear more beautiful in my eyes (and, like, I love some Dance Moms, but seeing middle-schoolers in heavy eye makeup feels way unnatural).
