Noah Cyrus Make Late Night Debut On Fallon

Noah Cyrus is Miley Cyrus’ sister, a fact that took me an embarrassingly long time to “figure out” when she debuted “Make Me (Cry)” (Feat. Labrinth) toward the end of 2016. I’m so sorry, Noah. Last night, Cyrus performed the duet alongside Labrinth during her first-ever late night appearance on The Tonight Show.

Noah Cyrus Makes An Impressive Late Night Debut On ‘Fallon’

A certain TV performance made me (cry) this week, but it wasn’t Noah Cyrus’ late night TV debut. The 17-year-old makes a great first impression on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon — belting out rising hit “Make Me (Cry)” with collaborator Labrinth. After a cautious start (she looked a little nervous), the unlikely pair find their groove and deliver an accomplished performance. I particularly enjoyed this arrangement of the song. It’s a little more raw and acoustic than the synth-heavy studio version.

It’s shaping up to be a big week for Noah. The break-out artist revealed that her debut LP is called NC-17 on Twitter yesterday (January 30) and “Make Me (Cry)” officially passed 100 million streams. The emotional anthem is also shooting up iTunes on the back of a discount and last night’s Fallon performance. It’s currently perched at number 14 and looks set to go a lot higher. All of this points to a new chart peak on the Billboard Hot 100 next week. Watch Miley’s little sister do her thing up top.
