Roethlisberger in walking boot after win

Ben Roethlisberger didn't emerge unscathed from the Pittsburgh Steelers' 30-12 win over the Miami Dolphins, but the quarterback doesn't expect to be hampered for long.

Roethlisberger was wearing a walking boot after the game and said he suffered an ankle injury on Pittsburgh's penultimate offensive play of the game, when he threw an interception to Dolphins cornerback Xavien Howard.

But Roethlisberger added he expects to play Sunday when the Steelers face the Kansas City Chiefs in the divisional round.

“You’re always worried about being hurt," Roethlisberger said in his postgame news conference. "But I’ll be out there next week.”

Roethlisberger added that he was not surprised to still be in the game despite the Steelers' lead.

"I love being out there with the guys," Roethlisberger said.

The Steelers play the Kansas City Chiefs in next Sunday's AFC divisional round playoff.

Roethlisberger finished 13-of-18 passing for 197 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions. He was hurt with 4:34 left in the fourth quarter and the Steelers up 30-12 when he was intercepted by Dolphins cornerback Xavien Howard.
