A fire broke out on the 13th floor of the Watergate complex in Washington, D.C., according to WJLA.
The Washington, D.C., Fire and Emergency Medical Services Department said just after 2 p.m. that crews had extinguished the fire and were trying to eliminate smoke from several floors in the complex.
The Watergate complex is synonymous with the 1970's scandal, in which aides to then-President Richard Nixon broke into the headquarters of the Democratic National Committee, ultimately leading to Nixon's resignation.
