John Mayer Plots 2017 World Tour

John Mayer’s long-rumored world tour is a step closer to a reality.

The Grammy-winning artist today confirmed his The Search for Everything world tour, which stretches across eight countries and kicks off March 31 at Times Union Center in Albany, NY.

The trek will stop in at arenas across North America before crossing the Atlantic in May for a string of European dates before wrapping up May 12 at The O2 in London.

Each concert will be “comprised of full band, solo acoustic and John Mayer Trio sets of music,” according to Live Nation, which is producing the tour. The general onsale starts from Feb, 3 through livenation.com while American Express card members get an early window for tickets from Tuesday (Jan. 31).

Mayer's new run, his first solo trek since 2014, comes in support of his forthcoming full-length album, The Search for Everything (Columbia Records).

Some three years in the making, The Search for Everything is the followup to 2013’s Paradise Valley and is scheduled to drop this spring.

Four tracks from that new album appear on Mayer’s new EP, The Search for Everything: Wave One, which debuts at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 for his eighth top 10 on the survey. He plans to release four songs from the album each month as EPs.

If that wasn't enough to get Mayer's fans all worked up, every ticket bought online for his upcoming concerts in North America includes a physical copy of the new album.
