Amal Clooney is pregnant with twins, George Clooney to become a dad in June!
After much speculation, it's been confirmed that George and Amal Clooney are expecting twins.
"Beyoncé is not the only superstar expecting twins. Congratulations are in order for George and Amal Clooney," Julie Chen said on Thursday's episode of The Talk. "The Talk has confirmed that the 55-year-old superstar and his highly accomplished 39-year-old attorney wife are expecting twins. Give her the armrest, by the way, she's pregnant!"
Chen continued, "Now, what we did find out that no one else is reporting is that the twins are due this June. The two have been married for just about two and a half years."
Amal has been sporting some lose-fitting, yet oh-so stylish, clothing over the past month, but had yet to confirm if she was in fact pregnant.
In May 2015, George was asked by CBS This Morning's Charlie Rose if he's ever considered fatherhood, to which he initially answered, "Not really."
"I mean, I've thought about it, I suppose, but it hasn't been high on my list," the Oscar winner continued. "I've been asked it a lot lately, because I've gotten married and I am doing a movie with kids in it. You should see how different, how creative the way they ask me!"
The recent baby news comes after the couple celebrated Amal's 39th birthday last week in Spain along with George's parents, Nina and Nick Clooney.
The two also celebrated their two-year anniversary in September and the actor joked with ET at the time about those skeptics who said "it wouldn't last."
"We proved them wrong!" George exclaimed.
George and Amal Clooney are expecting twins
Beyoncé and Jay Z aren't the only A-list celebs soon to be shopping for double strollers.
George, 55, and Amal Clooney, 39, are expecting twins of their own, according to The Talk's Julie Chen and People.
"Beyoncé is not the only superstar expecting twins," Chen said on the daytime program. "Congratulations are in order for George and Amal Clooney!" Chen added that the babies are due in June.
Twins will make a family of four for the glamorous couple. Clooney, who once swore he'd never marry again (he was married to actress Talia Balsam from 1989 to 1993) or have children of his own, met the Lebanese-British human rights lawyer in 2013, and the actor stunned the world when he traded in his bachelor status after proposing to Amal in April of 2014.
They wed in Venice that September, capping their whirlwind romance with a star-studded ceremony that was later displayed in the pages of People and InStyle magazine. The guest list included Bono, Matt Damon, Ellen Barkin, Emily Blunt and John Krasinski and Bill Murray.
Since their wedding day, the couple have popped up at a number of Hollywood and philanthropic events, from the 2015 Golden Globes and the Cannes Film Festival to a recent evening supporting the Netflix documentary White Helmets and a trip to Davos for the annual World Economic Forum, where Amal was honored for her human rights work.
Baby rumors have followed the Clooneys since they tied the knot. In 2015, Clooney joked to USA TODAY about the tabloid brouhaha about whether the couple would or won't have little ones. "We are having triplets," he riffed at the time. "We're going to have four, actually."
He also called marriage "fun."
"Both of us are easily mobile," he said. "She's a barrister, so you work for a firm, but you are still able to go do it from wherever you want to do it. She has to be in Strasbourg at the international court of appeal or she has to be in Greece. She's able to move around."
Where will they raise the little ones?
The world is their oyster. The Clooneys have homes in Studio City, Calif.; Lake Como, Italy; and England.
