What on earth is Ariel Winter wearing?
One of these things is not like the other.
The “Modern Family” cast attended a screening of the series’ Season 8 finale Wednesday night in Pasadena, Calif., and while most of the actors opted for a casual look, co-star Ariel Winter looked more appropriately dressed for an MTV Awards red carpet.
Winter, 19, who plays middle child Alex Dunphy on the ABC sitcom, wore a taupe long-sleeved minidress with gold beading by designer Falguni and Shane Peacock that had cutouts on the shoulders, chest and legs, allowing her cleavage and upper thighs to peek through a sheer mesh layer.
She finished off the skin-baring look with gold heels.
While Winter went glam, her male co-stars were low-key in trousers and button-downs. Julie Bowen (who plays Claire) donned a green camisole and slacks, while Aubrey Anderson-Emmons (Lily) opted for a simple navy dress.
The actress, for her part, is no stranger to sexy red-carpet looks and revealing clothes. She has been outspoken on issues of body positivity following her own breast reduction surgery in 2015.

The 19-year-old "Modern Family" star joined her fellow cast members at an ABC screening this week, and she was definitely ready for her closeup: Her ultra-revealing metallic mini bared not only her ample cleavage, but also as much leg as humanly possible. Featuring large cutouts and mesh overlay, the bold number was a showstopper -- but made absolutely no sense at the event!
See for yourself: While Ariel looks like she's headed to the Grammys, the rest of the cast is rocking casual pants and relaxed weekend shirts. (9-year-old Aubrey Anderson-Emmons did wear a dress, but they're not exactly comparable.)
Ariel paired the glitzy number with pointed gold stilettos and bronzy eye makeup. Meanwhile, co-star Julie Bowen opted for a low ponytail and sleeveless top, and all the leading men rocked jeans.
During the panel discussion, Ariel effectively avoided a wardrobe malfunction even while seated on stage -- but we have to say, it doesn't exactly look comfortable!
Boyfriend Levi Meaden was also in attendance (pictured in gallery above). The two were spotted kissing in April at Coachella, where Ariel rocked an underboob-heavy crop top.

You know those moments when you get an invite to an event, but there's no clear dress code. Then cut to the event when you turn up wearing something opposite to everyone there. Think Bridget Jones at her aunt's turkey curry buffet.
Ariel Winter found herself in a similar situation when she turned up to a Modern Family photoshoot. She was glammed to the nines, while the rest of her co-stars looked like they were sitting down for a casual lunch.
Her outfit completely jars with everyone else. Don't get us wrong, she looks amazing, she just sticks out like a sore thumb amongst the others.
Hats off to her as well because if we were in the same situation we would want the ground to swallow us up, but Ariel is taking the whole thing in her stride as she poses for photos with the press.
