Bella Thorne on Her Life After the Disney Channel

Bella Thorne didn’t have the best of luck rising to fame because of her association to Disney. The actress revealed to Harper’s Bazaar that the industry wasn’t taking her seriously. “Not only did fans pigeonhole me, but casting directors wouldn’t read me anymore,” she said. “They were like, ‘No, we don’t want her to come in because she’s so Disney.’ I had to literally beg for an audition.”

The 19-year-old went on to prove people wrong and is now set to star in Midnight Sun with Patrick Schwarzenegger later this year and The Death and Life of John F. Donovan with Jessica Chastain and Natalie Portman. Thorne adds, “[A casting director] shook my hand in the audition and was like, ‘I’m really sorry, I totally misjudged you, you’re a great actress.’”

Currently, Bella stars in Freeform’s Famous in Love as Paige Townsend, a young girl who becomes a superstar overnight and has to figure out how to navigate her new celebrity lifestyle.

As an actress who is trying to navigate her real-life in the spotlight, Thorne admits that it does get difficult at times. “You make so many mistakes when you’re young, but [as a celebrity] your mistakes are so harshly judged by everyone around the world. When you’re the most hated person on the Internet, then it’s not so fun.” It is with these negative comments that Bella has been able to learn to face them, whether it means laughing it off or speaking up for herself.

Bella Thorne wants to date Kristen Stewart: 'She's so hot'

Add Bella Thorne to the list of Hollywood names interested in filling Kristen Stewart's dance card.

In an interview with Harper's Bazaar, the 19-year-old actress got candid about her sexuality, after casually coming out as bisexual last year.

"I've done other stuff with girls, but I really want to actually date a girl," she said, surmising that "maybe girls just don't like me."

Then again, maybe Thorne just has a tough time reading women.

"I can't tell if a girl is hitting on me or she just wants to be friends," she continued. "And I don't want to flirt with a girl if she thinks I'm just being her friend. What if I kiss a girl and she's like 'Oh, I'm just your friend, dude, I can't believe you just crossed that boundary.'"

If she was to start dating a woman, Thorne has a partner in mind: Kristen Stewart, an actress who's been romantically linked to Stella Maxwell and Annie Clark, and who also came out as "so gay, dude" while hosting an episode of Saturday Night Live in February.

"She's so hot," Thorne said. "She seems like the raddest chick, I'd be so down."

Thorne claimed she's currently "single as (expletive)," following her breakup with Teen Wolf actor Tyler Posey in November, which sparked a love-triangle scandal after she was subsequently linked to singer Charlie Puth.

"There are so many unwritten rules about dating which I don't like," she said. "I'd rather be super faithful and give my all to one person. I don't like having my phone blown up by a bunch of different guys where I don't really know where I stand with any of them. It sucks."

Thorne, whose first brush with fame came on the Disney show Shake It Up, stars in Freeform's new drama Famous in Love, which premieres April 18.

Bella Thorne Would Like to Date Kristen Stewart: 'She's So Hot'

Bella Thorne has a crush on Kristen Stewart.

In an interview with Harper's Bazaar, the 19-year-old actress and singer discussed her sexuality and dating since announcing she was bisexual last year and the former Twilight star-turned-indie favorite is at the top of her list.

"I've done other stuff with girls, but I really want to actually date a girl," she said. "Maybe girls just don't like me.... I can't tell if a girl is hitting on me or she just wants to be friends. And I don't want to flirt with a girl if she thinks I'm just being her friend. What if I kiss a girl and she's like 'Oh, I'm just your friend dude, I can't believe you just crossed that boundary.' I'm confused on what they want from me."

When pressed on a girl she would like to date, Thorne suggested Stewart as a good option.

"She's so hot. She seems like the raddest chick, I'd be so down," she said.

As for her dating now, Thorne said she is "single as f---," though not by choice exactly.

"I could not be more single. This is the longest I've been super single," she said. "There are so many unwritten rules about dating which I don't like. I'd rather be super faithful and give my all to one person. I don't like having my phone blown up by a bunch of different guys where I don't really know where I stand with any of them. It sucks."
