New Naruto Anime Debuts Boruto's Strange
FC Barcelona defeated Sevilla FC, 3-0, in a Spanish Primera DivisiĆ³n game Wednesday at the Camp Nou Stadium in Barcelona.
Today, the Naruto franchise made a comeback shortly after its second anime ended. Naruto Shippuden wrapped back in March, closing a long chapter in Masashi Kishimoto’s legacy. However, Konoha could not be kept down for long. Naruto has just returned to the world of anime with a third series, Boruto: Naruto Next Generations. The new anime follows the next era of ninja as the children of heroes like Sakura, Sasuke, and more begin to learn what their ninja ways are. And, in the show’s premiere episode, Boruto debuted a strange new ocular bloodline that has fans scratching their heads.
So, spoilers below!
In the opening scene of Boruto, fans are shown Konoha after the modernized village has been destroyed. The Hokage Mountain has been all but obliterated, and an older version of Boruto is shown fighting against a ninja known as Kawaki. The tattooed opponent tells Boruto that the age of ninjas is done and that he will destroy the hidden village. Still, Boruto believes in the calling and tells Kawaki he will fight for that belief.
Fueled with rage, Boruto then ties a ninja headband on which looks like the one Sasuke originally marred. Then blonde-haired hero then stands up, seals appearing on his arm as his right eye transforms into something rather odd. His once-blue eye begins to glow white, and the bloodline gifts looks as if it is a cross between the Byukugan and the Tenseigan.
Of course, the anime will surely go on to reveal what the jutsu is in future arcs, but fans already have good reason to think the bloodline is a form of the Tenseigan. The ocular jutsu was revealed in the Boruto manga and played a major role in Boruto: Naruto The Movie.
If you are not familiar with the Tenseigan, then you should know the ocular jutsu was first used by Hamura Otsutsuki, one of the first people able to wield chakra. The power is unspeakably rare and can only be awakened when the chakra of Hamura’s descendants meet thanks to a marriage of the Otsutsuki and Hyuga families. Since Naruto possess chakra of Hagoromo and Hintata houses power from Hamura himself, their son Boruto has the genetics to awakens the powerful bloodline.
Still, Boruto’s version of the Tenseigan looks notable different from previous depictions. The hero’s eye does not have the traditional flower-shaped iris associated with the Tenseigan, but Boruto’s awakened form may differ similar to how the Mangekyo Sharingan does.

New Boruto: Naruto Next Generations Synopsis Introduces Ino & Sai’s Son
The premiere episode of Boruto: Naruto Next Generations is out, and the response to it has been overwhelmingly positive. The sleek new anime follows shortly after Naruto Shippuden, introducing fans to Konoha’s new rank of ninja. The children of heroes like Naruto and Sakura are featuring in full-force, but only a few characters have been introduced so far.
In the first episode, Boruto Uzumaki shone bright alongside Shikadai, the son of Temarai and Shikamaru. When the anime returns next week for a new episode, a slew of characters will get introduced in passing, but the child of Ino Yamanaka and Sai will pose the biggest challenge to Boruto.
You can check out the synopsis for “Hokage’s Son” below:
Boruto, who is reprimanded after the incident that occurred during the Entrance Ceremony, is attending the Academy for the first time. However, his classmates’ eyes are frosty towards Boruto since he’s the son of the heroic 7th Hokage who has already been punished. Of the students, Boruto tries to pick a fight with Yamanaka Inojin, a classmate who was held back a year due to poor behavior, but gets ignored.
For fans of Naruto, it is not surprising to hear that Inojin has a bit of an attitude issue. His mother is Ino, a character known for her temper and dramatic flair. As for Sai, the aloof former ROOT soldier is the epitome of sarcasm, and his careless personality has gotten him smacked by Sakura a few times. Inojin never had a chance at learning proper decorum. But, then again, neither did Boruto.
Sorry, Hinata. You tried your best.
