Reports: 'Grey's Anatomy' star Jesse Williams files for divorce
Jesse Williams and his wife, Aryn Drake-Lee, are splitting up, People and E! News report .
The Grey's Anatomy star and his real estate broker wife were together for about 10 years, according to People, and have been married since September 2012.
Williams told USA TODAY about his then-fiancée in 2010, recalling when the two first met.
"I was a teacher when I met her, so she's been with me through all different facets of my career," he said. "She's stuck with me through thick and thick and thick and thin."
It made their transition to Los Angeles easier, Williams added. "We know each other in and out, and she was very happy to move out here," he said. "She loves California and was tired of the weather on the East Coast."
E! reports that Williams filed for divorce, requesting joint legal and physical custody of their children, and to terminate Drake-Lee's spousal support. The couple have a three-year-old daughter, Sadie, and an almost two-year-old son, Maceo.

The 35-year-old Grey’s Anatomy star and activist filed for divorce from Aryn Drake-Lee on April 11, People reports, noting that the split between the pair is amicable.
Williams married Drake-Lee, a real estate broker, in September of 2012 after five years of dating. At the time, he was employed as a New York school teacher. The couple are the parents of a 3-year-old daughter and an 18-month-old son. E! reports that Williams is seeking joint legal and physical custody of their children.
Seeing as how divorces are one of the most difficult life changes to navigate, we’re hoping both parties can get through this in the most seamless way possible. At the moment, though, we’re particularly concerned about Williams’ fans, who had some extremely strong reactions to the news on Twitter.
