Ronda Rousey Swimsuit Sports Illustrated

The new Swimsuit Edition features model Hannah Davis on the cover and is available in stores as of today.

The former UFC women’s bantamweight champion was featured in the summer 2015 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit edition. Photos taken by the magazine’s contributing photographer, William Iooss Jr.

Ronda was photographed in Captiva, Florida. The magazine came out before Rowdy’s highly-anticipated title defense against Cat Zingano, at UFC 184 on Feb. 28, 2015, in Los Angeles, California.  She would go on to win that fight via armbar submission in just 14-seconds.  This title defense came on the heels of a 16-second knockout win over Alexis Davis in July 2014.  Following the Zingano fight, Rousey defeated by knockout in Brazil, also in the first round, just 34-seconds into the fight.

Rousey held the UFC title from early in 2013 until her eventual knockout loss to now former champion Holly Holm at UFC 193 in Australia, Nov. 14, 2015.

The following summer Rousey was featured in the Sports Illustrated Swimbuit Body Paint edition where the former UFC champion wore nothing but body paint. Those photos can be seen here.

Following the loss to Holm, Rousey returned 13 months later to take on Amanda Nunes for the UFC organization’s year end 2016 card.  She was knocked out in the first round and has not yet expressed intentions to return to mixed martial arts.  Rousey is currently engaged to UFC heavyweight Travis Browne.
